This position means that I lead the eye departments at Salford Royal, North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Infiirmary, The Royal Oldham Hospital and also Tameside General Hospital. We are the second largest eye department in Manchester and serve around 1 million patients.

I provide a full range of general ophthalmic services. My special interest includes all disorders of the eyelids (commonly malpositions and abnormal masses), lacrimal system (watery eyes) and orbit (abnormalities of the tissues around the eye and the eye socket).

I graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester. I completed my basic ophthalmic training in Worcestershire, East Anglia and Liverpool. My advanced oculoplastic surgery training was initially in Liverpool followed by two years of fellowship training in Manchester and Sydney, Australia. I am a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.

I have published and presented in many aspects of Ophthalmology and continue to have research interests in oculoplastic surgery.

I am particularly proud of the oculoplastic service that I have set up here which delivers the highest standards of oculoplastic care.
