I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Miss Sivagnanavel is a Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon at the Royal Eye Unit. She is the Lead Medical Retina Consultant at Kingston Hospital and has developed one of the largest AMD services in London. She specialises in diseases of the retina, general ophthalmic disorders and advanced cataract surgery.
She received a Clinical Excellence Award in 2014 and 2017
Miss Sivagnanavel was educated at Wimbledon High School and subsequently qualified from Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, where she won a Special Trustees Award.
Her specialist ophthalmic training was at Kings College Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. She was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of London for her research work on age related macular degeneration and retinal imaging. She is still active in research and has published in peer review journals and presented at international conferences in Europe and the United States of America.
Miss Sivagnanavel is an experienced clinician and surgeon. Having completed her higher specialist training and two medical retina fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital, she was selected for the prestigious Darzi Fellowship in healthcare management in 2010.
She is a keen supporter of many charities including Sight Savers and has volunteered internationally in eye camps.
Miss Sivagnanavel is registered with the General Medical Council and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. She is also a member of several medical societies including the European Society of Retina Specialists and The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Areas of interest
Miss Sivagnanavel aims to provide comprehensive care to patients seeking help with either General Ophthalmic or Medical Retina conditions. She has a specialist interest in Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Eye Disease, Retinal Vein Occlusions, Inflammatory Eye Disease (Uveitis) and intravitreal injections. She is recognised for combining clinical excellence with a compassionate approach to care.
Consultations are available by appointment in regular scheduled clinics as well as out of hours consultations to serve those who need more flexibility in accessing healthcare.
