About me
Dr Sara Trompeter is one of the few haematologists in the UK specialising in Red Cell Disorders, Iron disorders and Anaemia. She provides specialist treatments for all aspects of red cell haematology particularly iron deficiency and iron overload; haemoglobin disorders such as sickle cell disease and thalassaemia; red cell enzyme disorders such as G6PD deficiency; membrane disorders such as hereditary spherocytosis and other inherited anaemias. She is also able to counsel carriers of inherited red blood cell disorders such as sickle cell disease and thalassaemia prior to and during pregnancy and arrange preimplantation genetic diagnosis or testing of unborn babies.
