Commenced training in Ophthalmology at the Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester and was then appointed as Specialist Registrar at the Glasgow Eye Infirmary/ Western Infirmary (Western Health District), Glasgow.
Fellowship in Retinal diseases at the Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, Brighton.

Research/ Teaching
Investigator for IVAN and MERLOT, recently concluded national clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of treatment options for Wet Macular Degeneration.
Author of a number of scientific articles that were either published or presented at international conferences.
Currently Principal Investigator for TULIP: Use of Intravitreal JETREA® in Clinical Practice: European Prospective Drug Utilization Study.
Passionately involved in medical education/ training, member of the faculty of examiners at University of Nottingham Medical School and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and EURETINA, European Society of Retina Specialists.
