About me

I have been working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 1987, and amongst my qualifications is a Post-Graduate Diploma from the University of Derby. I have a great deal of experience and training in this work. Apart from being a qualified practitioner for individuals, I am also a trained (Relate) couples counsellor. I am an experienced Mental Health Practitioner, having worked in Social Services for more than 25 years. In the 1990s I trained at the University of Birmingham as a Supervisor of Counsellors. I have also been a trainer of Cruse Bereavement Counsellors, a lecturer in Counselling Skills at three colleges and a group facilitator of assertiveness and self-confidence groups
