About me
I am a Consultant Anaesthetist and the Airway Lead at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the largest hospital Trusts in the UK and a busy major trauma centre.
My clinical interests are difficult airway management, total intravenous anaesthesia (TIVA) and depth of anaesthesia monitoring (pEEG); I teach and lecture on these topics for national organisations and industry and am an active member of specialist societies furthering excellence in clinical practice.
I routinely provide anaesthesia for major head and neck surgery, general and upper GI surgery, major trauma and emergency surgery. My non-clinical interests include improving Patient Safety within acute care and Human Factors in clinical practice.
I am part of the Acute Pain team, and am expert in epidural analgesia for major thoracic, abdominal surgery and trauma.
Anaesthetic services are provided at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital, BMI The Park, Nottingham Woodthorpe and The Spire Hospital.
