Miss Katharine Bevan qualified from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine (University of London) in 1998 having also completed a BSc in Clinical Immunology. She completed her Basic surgical training on the south coast in Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton hospitals. Her final year of training was completed in Basingstoke Hospital, a tertiary referral centre for both low rectal cancer (TME) and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. During this time she attained her CCST.

Miss Bevan was appointed as the Covidien laparoscopic colorectal fellow at Basingstoke in 2009.
