About me

Leading Clinician: thehardingclinic.co.uk

Dr Harding is a Consultant in Clinical & Interventional Radiology based at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) since 2010 where he is the Clinical Lead for Interventional Radiology.

His daily practice includes a wide range of minimally invasive ‘pin-hole’ procedures including treatment for uterine fibroids & adenomyosis with uterine artery embolisation (UAE), angioplasty for vascular disease, endovascular repair of aneurysms (EVAR), transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE) for liver tumours, embolisation in men for varicocoeles and in women for pelvic congestion syndrome.

He has worked actively performing and promoting the new procedure of Prostate Artery Embolisation (PAE) for men with obstructive urinary symptoms. Dr Harding was one of the early exponents in the UK of PAE since 2014. He is heavily involved in research for this specialist technique leading one of the top five contributing centres in the national UKRoPE study, the first multi-centre research into PAE in the UK.

Dr Harding also performs a full range of diagnostic imaging services for both NHS and private patients including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy.

He trained in Medicine at the University of Bristol. His initial post graduate training was in General Medicine and Intensive Care including working for 6 months in New Zealand. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2004.

He began training in Radiology in 2005 returning to Bristol and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2008 winning the Finzi prize in the Radiology section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He completed a period of higher specialist training with many of the UK’s experts in Interventional Radiology. He is an active member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and the Congress of Interventional Radiology Societies of Europe (CIRSE) as well as being the Clinical Supervisor for senior Interventional Radiology trainees at UHCW. He has presented several papers at national meetings and published a number of articles in national & international Radiology journals.
