About me

Professor Mayberry has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and was chair of the original NICE Guideline for Crohn's disease. He continues to be active in original research on the causes and best management of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He has made significant contributions to the better management and understanding of conditions such as coeliac disease, pancreatic insufficiency, irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, achalasia and peptic ulcer disease with more than 300 original publications in these areas.
He is also a non-practicing barrister and was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn
