About me
I'm a clinical cardiologist providing comprehensive invasive and non-invasive services for patients with all types of heart disease. Appointments can be made available at short notice and care is provided in a safe and comfortable environment. Since taking up his NHS Consultant position at Aintree University Hospital in 2007 I have played a leading role in delivering/developing a high quality echocardiography laboratory service with a central role in stress echocardiography. I'm also active in pacemaker implantation and all aspects of diagnostic cardiac catheterisation. I organise teaching programs for junior doctors and examine them at local and national level.
Areas of interest
All aspects of echocardiography (integral to the investigation of most types of heart disease); coronary artery disease; heart failure; valvular heat disease; heart rhythm disturbances; blackouts/dizziness.
