About me
My main areas of expertise are cosmetic and reconstruction surgery, hand surgeries including dupuytren's contracture, trigger finger, removal of small lesions such as warts, moles, cysts and basal cell carcinomas.
I am especially interested in treating patients who have been diagnosed with lipoedema. Also post weight loss surgery which includes abdominoplasty, brachioplasty and thigh lift.
Breast reconstructive surgery, including augmentations, reductions and breast lifts.
I have been a consultant at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital since 2017. It is important to me that all my patients have a good result which meets their expectations and that they are happy. I enjoy getting to know my patients and to understand them.
Mr Köhler completed his plastic surgical residencies in Munich-Ebersberg, Cologne and Würzburg, Germany and also trained in Louisville, KT and Rochester, MN.After being a board certified plastic surgeon in 2009 he worked as a consultant at the University of Würzburg, Germany and at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK. In the UK he also built up his private practice at Spire Norwich Hospital.Returning to Germany, he led the private Schlosspark Klinik in Ludwigsburg for aesthetic surgery before he opened up his own practice in the Loretto Clinic Tübingen.
In 2017 he was offered a consultant post at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, as well as at Spire Norwich Hospital and Global Clinic Norwich.
Since 2002 Mr Köhler volunteers once a year for 2 to 3 weeks on board of the Hospital ship “Africa Mercy” in West-Africa. Here he performs solely reconstructive procedures such as severe burn contracture release, removal of large soft tissue tumours, hypospadias and congenital abnormalities.
