About me

Mr Rochester is the clinical director of urology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He qualified from Cambridge in 1998 with first class honours in medical sciences. After surgical training in Oxford he undertook laboratory research in prostate cancer which led to election to the post of Royal College of Surgeons of England Hunterian Professor in 2006. His specialist urology training took place in the Eastern Deanery, predominantly in Norwich and Cambridge. Mr Rochester has subspecialty training in urological cancer surgery, particularly for the kidney and bladder and offers robotic and laparoscopic surgery for these conditions. He also has extensive expertise in Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP/laser prostatectomy, >1000 cases) for benign prostate enlargement (BPH) and the Urolift procedure. He has taught these techniques to many surgeons in the UK and across Europe and is actively involved in a number of trials for new BPH treatments.
