About me
Mr Hammett is a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery and has been employed by Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust since 2010.
His undergraduate medical training was at University College London. He is a registered medical practitioner, General Medical Council number 4526009. He was awarded the Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery by the Intercollegiate Specialty Board in 2008, holds a Certificate of Completion of Training and his name is included on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.
He undertook Specialist Fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma and limb reconstruction.
Mr Hammett is in active full time clinical practice in elective orthopaedics, general musculo-skeletal trauma and subspecialty lower limb and foot and ankle surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. He is active in education for medical undergraduates, allied professions and higher surgical trainees in orthopaedic surgery. He has contributed chapters to surgical textbooks and has publications in peer reviewed medical literature.
