About me
I qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School, and undertook specialist training in the West Midlands and London Deaneries.
I have held a substantive consultant post in gastroenterology and endoscopy at St George's NHS Trust since 2012.
I am the former Director of the Bowel Cancer Screening programme for SW London, and am currently the Director of Endoscopy at St George's Hospital. I am an accredited colonoscopist and examiner for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. I co-lead the advanced therapeutic colonoscopy service and co-chair the complex polyp meeting at St George's Hospital. I run general gastroenterology out-patient clinics, participate in the care of admitted patients on the gastroenterology ward, and am part of the emergency endoscopy rota.
I am interested in all aspects of luminal gastroenterology, including bowel cancer screening, anaemia, coeliac disease, indigestion/reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and the investigation and management of a range of general gastroenterological symptoms, including diarrhoea, constipation, anaemia, abdominal pain and weight loss.
