About me

Mr Michael Lemon studied medicine at Oxford University from 1989 - 1995, and completed his Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar Training on the South West London rotation 2001-2006. In 2007, he completed his Fellowship training in the following areas:
TKR, partial and revision knee replacement Complex arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction.
Knee and hip surgery with Malcolm Glasgow and Professor Donell, internationally recognised experts in partial knee replacement and patellofemoral disorders respectively.
In 2008 he spent a year as a knee and hip surgeon at The South West London Elective Orthopaedic centre, and was trained there and in France in techniques of muscle sparing and arthroscopic hip surgery.
Mr Lemon has published clinical and research papers on several aspects of knee, hip and trauma surgery in internationally recognised orthopaedic journals.
He has carried out trauma research at John’s Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and has an ongoing research interest in optimising patient care in knee replacement surgery.
Mr Lemon took up his Consultant post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in 2009.
