About me
Miss Rose is a British trained fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon working at both St Thomas' Hospital and King's College Hospital.
She is on the General Medical Council's specialist register for Plastic Surgery and is a member of The British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Her main area of expertise is complex breast reconstruction.
Miss Rose started her training in Plastic Surgery in 1998 and worked in a variety of London Plastic Surgery Units as well as the prestigious Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and the St Andrew's Centre in Chelmsford. During her training she spent time at the MD Anderson in Dallas, Akademikliniken in Stockholm and was a microsurgical fellow in Taiwan for 15 months.
She has been a NHS Consultant since 2007 and worked initially in Manchester at the Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, one of the largest breast cancer units in the country. In April 2013 she moved back to London to take the post of Lead for Plastic Surgery Trauma Reconstruction at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation trust.
Her main areas of interest are microsurgical breast reconstruction, complex breast reconstruction, and lower limb trauma reconstruction. She undertakes DIEP, SGAP, TUG and other free flap breast reconstructions as well as symmetrisation surgery and nipple reconstruction. She has extensive experience in breast fat grafting for reconstruction and asymmetry. She is a member of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists and works closely with the GIC attending their Multidisciplinary meetings on a regular basis.
Miss Rose is very happy to show before and after photos of all the above procedures, as well as provide written information about the surgery and recovery period.
She is actively involved in Plastic Surgery training and has represented both the London and North West Deaneries. Currently she is deputy chair of the plastic surgery Specialist Advisory Committee for the Joint Committee of Surgical Training. She holds the PG Certificate in Medical Education and is currently working toward a Masters at Kings College London.
